How good is the nightlife in Cleveland? I'm thinking of moving to an apartment downtown. I'm from Dallas, they have pretty good nightlife, but what I like about Cleveland is that the bars and clubs are more concentrated, so if you live downtown you can walk.

Are there more lounges/clubs or bars?

West 6th St. is the place for clubs in Cleveland. Another good place to go is Shooters in the flats. When that get's old head to downtown Willoughby, which is a 30 minute drive.

Glaring oversights of the above poster (within downtown or shouting distance):
E. 4th
Gateway
Ohio City
Tremont
Gordon Square

Downtown:

- W.6th/Warehouse District (Clubs)
- E. 4th (bars and restaurants )
- Gateway ( bars and restaurants near stadiums )

Other places in the city with good strips:
- W.25th ( best "beer" bars in the city)
- Coventry ( more college scene )
- Lakewood ( mix of everything , many affordable places )

If you like more relaxing/upscale/trendy handouts, Tremont and Little Italy are also good.

And don't forget W.65th Street (Gordon Square District - close to downtown)... Great bars and fabulous restaurants over there!

Downtown Cleveland is full of excitement. Coming from a 27 years old I think that the nightlife is pretty fun and getting better.
