I just read on TMZ.com about the concert being canceled, a concert inspired because of eight gang-related murders in the small community.

I live near Fayetteville, less then 100 miles away. I read the paper, and occasionally Star-news, watch the news and I have not heard a word about this.
Come on, I'm reading a national tabloid and have to read about a community near me that I like to visit, to hear about this crime. Is it I've just missed it in the news or has it not been reported on?

Thanks for the info.

Just curious to say the least. I live fairly close and I just think it is weird I have not heard about the 8(?) murders on the local news.
