Moving to Greenville next month. My wife has been working at ECU since last year. We bought a house off of E 10th Street close to the WalMart and Lowes there. My wife will be looking into the daycare at Vidant or ECU where she works but wanted some other suggestions of good experiences.

Is there any daycares of which you have personal experiences with that you would recommend? My son is 5 months old. Half time and full time will be investigated but my experience with my daughter tells me that half time is just as much as full time.

The daycare at Vident was great 4 to 5 years ago. We had a child there for a couple of years but had to pull him out because my wife took another job away from the hospital. I have not heard anything negative about it since then. It was very nice having the daycare right next to the workplace.

Another good daycare is Children's Campus located at the intersection of Firetower Road and Wimbledon Drive. Both of my children have really enjoyed it. Lately, there has been some teacher turnover though. From my understanding there have been some differences of opinion between the owner and the instructors. Having said that though, they never let it affect the kids. I do like the fact they have a very structured curriculum. From talking to Kindergarten teachers, the kids leaving this daycare are farther along in the learning process than most other children.

Good luck and please ask if you have more questions.

Our kids have attended Greenhouse Preschool, it's on your side of town off Portertown Road in a sense. We've really had no complaints that you probably don't have at any daycare. Some teachers have been better than others, but you'll find that no matter where you go, especially with daycares.

Bottom line, I drop off my kids there & do not worry about them for the rest of the day, which says a lot. They take care of them.

Bumping an old thread.. Any one can provide recent review / first hand experience..

We are moving to Greenville as my wife is taking up a job in ECU/Vidant and we have a toddler girl ( will be 3 in a month ).
Searching around, I see couple of places.. We plan to rent a place around Brookevally , but distance to the daycare is not really an issue if the place is good..

1. Children's world ( having 4 locations ) with a new one coming up in Arlington Blvd
2. Children's campus
3. Land of learning child care in Winterville.

I am still searching and will probably visit a day in person to finalize..

Thanks in advance

We are also ISO childcare in the area. We have been in contact with Children's World and Kinder Care. Any opinions or recommendations?
