My family and I just rolled into town for vacation and as soon as we got here the car started acting up. The easy way out would be to go the dealer and pay whatever crazy price that would be, but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendation for a trustworthy independent mechanic that I could trust to do a good job (for a safe trip back home, of course) and that they won't gouge me since I'm here from out of town and won't be a repeat customer.
The closer to the beaches the better. American made common car, nothing special. Should be a repair a regular auto mechanic could handle.
If the City-Data folks in this forum are as knowledgeable and as helpful as I've seen in other forums I figured this would be a good place to ask.
