Hi everyone!
I'm road tripping through the south in a few days and stopping at a ton of historic sites. Does Roanoke Island have a lot to offer aside from the Lost Colony play? I'm not interested in things like flea markets, boating, etc. I mainly want to keep the trip geared towards history, museums, etc. Thanks!

In the winter, I would skip Roanoke Island. It has an Elizabethan Garden and an Aquarium, but otherwise the winter is for fishing and baoting.

Instead, I would head to New Bern. It has the Tryon Palace, a recreation of the Colonial Capitol, and the smal Pepsi-Cola store museum.
