This is a big deal. It also means that the days of pay-per-view games are over in the SEC starting in 2014.

Are you sure it hasn't already started... Since this anouncement they have been playing a bunch of unranked SEC softball matchups on ESPN.

Nothing says sports entertainment like softball!

I'm sorry, I guess I'm chauvinistic, but I just can't watch women's sports. Does nothing for me....except, sand volleyball, for obvious reasons.

What is happening in 2014 is the SEC will have its own network, like the BIG 10, PAC 12 networks etc. Currently there is agreement to air SEC sporting events on the ESPN networks.
