Congratulations, Spartans, and in light of what you did against the Wolverines and Buckeyes, perhaps we should be calling you The Michigan State University.

MSU has been both a pain and a joy to watch this season. They were an eyesore initially because their offense was so inept the first half of the season, but the defense kept them in every game. The offense has progressed to the point of being at least competent - Connor Cook has really made some progress this season. It's still far from a well-oiled machine, but it's good enough to at least make them competitive against anyone in the nation. And I really think they'd like to have that ND game back because Sparty would win that one going away now.

Mark Dantonio has something going on in East Lansing... considering his success the past few seasons, I'm surprised his salary is as modest as it is. He's due for a well-deserved raise.

I'm pretty sure both Mark and coach Narduzzi will be getting raises. If the people running MSU want to maintain this level of success they are to have to open the wallet and start making it rain on the coaching staff. They can't expect be a consistent Big Ten and national power while paying the coaching staff MAC conference salaries
