Hi everybody. I want to ask question. May be someone can give me advice or just his opinion. Here is the story. Right now I'm living in USA. I'm citizen of EU, and have green card in USA. I'm studying Accounting and Finance (bachelor) here, but I'm thinking to transfer my credits to UK and continue my study there, because I want to live in Europe and be close to my family. But I also can stay here in USA, finish university here, and move back to Europe. But i have concern about my diploma. My question is, which diploma will be better for Europe, diploma from UK or diploma from USA? I don't care about living cost and tuition, my concern only about diploma. Please help!

Accounting & Finance? Easy, from a decent US university.

Doesn't matter. Both Europe and the US are migrating towards IFRS. What matters more is getting a professional license/charter when your done with your course.

S/he is saying to go to a university that is recognized (e..g, Berkeley, Chapel Hill)...

not a University like "podunk state college"

It would be the same for someone from the UK moving to the US. Certain British unis have more recognition (e.g., Univ London, Cambridge) than others (e.g., East Anglia)

Studying in the USA for finance & accounting at a good university (like Purdue's Krannert school of business, or Princeton) will get you recognition, though maybe not as much as a school in the UK simply due to proximity. Both college systems are widely well known.

I would say, stay inthe US and finish up, then move back. What's the big rush?
