I can understand the push toward this - but at the same time, college is when you should start to learn how to deal with things you'll encounter in the real world.

Young people are radically changing how we think about violence, consent and gender. Antioch College is where much of the conversation started.

This concept might work pretty well in groups of 135 like the enrollment. Other than that good luck.

The basic consent principle makes sense (of course consent and cognizance should be a part of an encounter) but as you aptly point out, it won't work well in the real world and should be interesting to see it's 'application' . Hopefully with body cameras for real life examples. I think the perfect job for graduates who want to spread the message would be to send them to countries in Europe with large immigrant populations or some of the sanctuary city relocation areas - I think there's one outside Minneapolis with many Somalis for their 'education'.

I applaud the new expanded sexual touch training by Ms Olson being expanded from week to a month and it made me think of this MADTV skit.

It is also one of the long list of reasons why most of Ohio shakes their head at Antioch.

I have a great deal of respect for Antioch and other progressive colleges. So, speak for yourself.

Once they leave the protective bubble of college life, they are likely to be shocked/stunned/horrified at life in the real world.

New? Just re-write some Victorian era social guide books.

Who killed Antioch? Womyn - LA Times from 2007

ON JUNE 12, the board of trustees of Antioch College, the famously countercultural institution in Yellow Springs, Ohio, announced that the campus would shut down next year. The decision is a result of declining enrollment, insufficient alumni support and facilities so neglected that, according to several reports, some buildings don't have hot water. Earlier this year, a number of faculty members were laid off. Meanwhile, student enrollment, which had been about 2,000 in the college's 1960s heyday, has dwindled to about 400.
