I won't attempt to make any excuses for it, I am about to finish college (one more semester left) with a 2.5 GPA as a biology major, how screwed for life am I?
Is there anything I can do after college to better my career prospects?
You need to act now, not after you graduate. Try to help your professors with lab research or get an internship if you can. Practical skills and work experience will matter more than gpa at most places.
Take a few years off. Spend some time growing up, and then return to school. Retake the classes that you completely bombed. Get your GPA up to around a 3.25 and then apply for grad school, or get a teaching certificate and become a teacher.
Lots of people do poorly in college the first time. Just look at it this way, at least you graduated. Most slackers never even graduate.
Screw it, no one cares about your GPA. You apply to a job and 90% of places will not look at your grades.
Make a good resume and stop worrying. All your company wants is a piece of paper that says you finished to fill the needs of some HR person who will have no clue what anything you've done in college is.
Don't sweat it, instead of worrying about your GPA.. worry about your interviewing skills, your speaking skills and how you conduct yourself in a business environment.
Don't take more classes to raise your gpa, don't do a post-bacc. Get a job, make money and move on with your life. The only reason to go back and take undergrad classes would be for personal enjoyment.

I couldn't agree with you more. Seems like these days just having a Bachelors Degree is almost equal to having a certain amount of experience. If you can show great charisma skills, confidence, and show that you should get the job- I'm sure you'll be fine. It is highly unlikely that any potential employer is going to check out your grades. Don't sweat it.
1. Get the piece of paper. Everything else is not important.
2. Stop whining. I graduated with a 2.89 and did just fine.
3. Find work that you enjoy.
