I got my M.A. at NYU and graduated in 1994. I enjoyed my classes there. But NYU doesn't have a traditional campus as it is in the middle of the city and therefore it is not for someone who wants a traditional college life.
I graduated from NYU in 1977. I had a good time in New York City, and I think NYU was a good fit for me. The classes were small and the teachers were great. Of course, back then, things weren't so expensive. Full tuition was only $3200 a year or so, and a person could rent an apartment on Bleecker Street for a couple hundred dollars a month. Today, it would all cost a small fortune.
