I guess he changed his mind because he hasn't brought it up since. Must have realized that his idea wouldn't help. Some day.... in the meantime, keep posting pictures! I just love looking at those mountains

Yeah right, leave those doors and windows open folks ... no flies or mosquitos will come in, but you might find that a bear has wandered into your house, instead, lol.

Is it true about very little mosquitoes? I can't even fathom! I also know you're too far north for fire ants, right? My kids have severe (epi pen severe) allergies to most insects. I know seasonal allergies are bad everywhere but how does it compare to the Southern US?

It's completely different than the South. Of course, there are mosquitos here, but they generally aren't horrible. You don't get the massive suckers you see in the swampy South. I've lived in Biloxi and N. Carolina, so I know what they're like. If you go camping near a lake, you're gonna git bit, but generally, insects aren't a problem.

Massive roaches aren't a problem either.
House flies get in occassionally, but it never gets out of control. I will occassionally find some kind of water bug or lil' beatle in the house everyone once in a while. No biggie. There are ants, but they're not fire ants.

There are no termites....one less thing to worry about with a house. Oh....there are spiders and scorpions!

I am thinking that he is saying that he wants you to come here to the Springs with him, and then it will be just like WI. The alternate would be him coming without you which would be hell. Just trying to be an optimist. If you have to think of a negative all the way here to make yourself feel better, think....the springs is at a higher altitude, not the end of the world but, all I can come up with, I think you should just come and form your own opinion.
