So I'm looking to move to Colorado in about 6 months, once I've acquired the sufficient funds. I'm 20 years old and will be most likely going with a friend of mine. I currently in live in Sarasota Florida, and the cost of living is a good bit above average. I am looking for a city in colorado that has a relatively low cost of living. I have looked in to colorado springs a good bit, and believe it would be suitable. Although I have visited a few areas of Colorado, I am not as well informed with anywhere else and it's cost living. I hope to save about 5-6k before I leave so that I have a good cushion. I'm looking to rent a 2 bedroom that would go for around 750-900.
It is also important that there are a decent amount of job opportunities and that there are colleges close by.
Given that price range for rent, and other important factors, if anyone has any input, it would be appreciated.

Sounds good so far.

Jobs may be a bit hard to find, check the boards like craigslist for jobs.

Check ppar.com or padmapper.com for rentals.

Look just a few posts below yours. I started a thread about apartments under $900 and listed 10 apartments I found. Some of them may be a little higher because I was looking to keep under $900 for a one bedroom. But there has been some input on each apartment
