New to the area & looking for a shoe store that has reasonably priced cross trainers. They are only needed for what is hopefully a short amount of time, so I'm not looking to spend a lot of money. Any suggestions?

Runner's Roost / Colorado Running Company on Tejon if you want running shoes. Otherwise you can go to just about any shoe store - Foot Locker, Famous Footwear, etc., or a sporting goods store like Big 5. Look for sales in the Sunday paper.

We have all the usual shoe stores found in any mall, like Chapel Hills Mall, plus the usual sporting goods stores, but we also have a place called the Colorado Running Company with a location in Briargate at Union and Briargate Pkwy. There's also a Sports Authority store on N. Academy, very near you and the mall.

Check out DSW on north Academy near Chapel Hills mall. Not sure if they will have what you need but they have a good selection of all kinds of shoes.

I'm not sure if they'll have the brands you want, but the Payless shoes on Powers tends to have a good selection. I wear a size 12 in most shoes and I can usually find something that is comfortable. There are tons of other stores around if you would prefer to pay more.

Big 5 has the best prices and a decent selection. I also look at Kohl's because my wife always has coupons and Kohl's bucks
Out of curiosity> why do you require the shoes only for a short time?
