Help! I swear I'm not going crazy. In the mid-1980's, while living in Denver, I know that Celestial Seasonings briefly sold flavored fortune cookies in area markets. I bought them at various King Soopers and I saw them elsewhere. Can someone please confirm this for me? Even the folks at Celestial Seasonings can't recall this. It might have been just a brief flirtation with this product or a special promotion, but I really do remember it. Can anyone else? I've got several people thinking that I'm out of my gourd.

They were called "Wish Biscuits" and I think they were produced by another company in Boulder, CO, not by
Celestial Seasonings. Inspired by Celestial Seasoning's packaging and style, they were also drizzled with white, dark, or mint chocolate. The fortunes were also pretty esoteric and whimsical compared to classic "Chinese" cookies.
Anyone have a picture of a "Wish Biscuits" box?

Oh my goodness, those were adorable. I would never have thought of them unless someone else mentioned them. I still don't have any independent recollection of the name, but I do remember the cookies.

I forgot about those too! I worked for the Boulder Chamber of Commerce in the mid 80s and we used Wish Biscuits in promotions, gift baskets, etc. wselzer is correct that they were not a Celestial Seasonings product, but I cannot remember who made them. They were delicious. I bet I even have some of the "wishes" stashed away somewhere.

Wish Biscuits were made by a company called The Fortune 44 Company. Their address was listed as 3011 Broadway, Boulder, CO. I just ran across one of the boxes that I had saved, two angels on the front. Chocolate mint...mmmmmmmm!

That is true back in the mid 80's when I first moved to Colorado you could get them at King Scoopers. They had two or three flavors, but the best part of the cookies were the Wish Biscuits fortune sayings. I just happen to have an old fortune: "No man is a failure who is enjoying life"-William Feather; "When you are content, you have found the secret to success" They were always positive and up lifting. It made you feel good eating their cookies.
