Good on ya, Colorado.
I am so pleased that I'll be spending my later years in a state that respects one's autonomy at the end of life. Relieved, too. I know the Western Slope has an excellent hospice and with this new freedom, people should be able to have the end of life that they desire when that time comes.

ColoradoCare failed big time. 106 is the legalization of assisted suicide.

I am glad people have the right to choose this path in their life if they wish.

Thank you for pointing that out!

As someone who has worked in healthcare and studied policy, I am glad for everyone and for the state that ColoradoCare failed, and failed big.

That "time" is becoming more inviting and desirable these days. A perfect 'gift' for modern times. Maybe folks will want to speed up the clock and rush quicker to their end now. Seems fitting.

"Folks" will have to be dying in the first place before they can "rush" to their end. Plus they will have to have two doctors agree to allow them to die with dignity. I guess you would rather die a slow death in total pain.

That's no fun. Doesn't sound like much of an improvement. I guess a person will have to jump through more hoops and make his/herself more ill to get what they need. "Am I dying enough for ya now?"

Colo was an EZ check box for non-state DwD interests to fund, and it's on to the next victim! Get all 50 to think and act just like you!!! and you have won your gold badge of "courage" (?). Yes... LT caregiver here also. YMMV +/-

After Colorado, ‘Right To Die’ Movement Eyes New Battlegrounds | Kaiser Health News

“die with dignity,” raised over $5.4 million, mostly from the Compassion & Choices Action Network. $8m could have possibly been better spent. (or not, if you are at the media pigtrough. Nice yr of profits!)

It's the right thing to do, no matter who funds it.
