OK I have been in this thread and others and now have finally settled down., sorta. I am on social security disability and have a small income. I am looking at houses because mine is being sold and I will have about 250K to spend. I found a real estate agent also. I would prefer a new builder. I have a question. I met with Ryan homes and by the time I put everything in I have less home and pricey. Then I met with fortress homes and they are very much more gracious with their extras. I was also told to check out Essex homes but couldn't get t them on my trip. I will need to buy soon and the people are waiting for me to make up my mind. I like Lexington lake Murray is too expensive. And Irmo is right next door to Lexington so i don't understand why it's so much more. Could anyone tell me what areas are not good in Lexington. And what builders are the best. My real estate cannot say anything about the neighborhoods. I don't care about the racial makeup I care about the people and if they take care of their property. I saw a sub division near a high school made by fortress is that a good place? Can anyone tell me others in this price range. I thought columbia was way to much of a city for me but I am not into septic tanks and I saw Eagle nest and it's beautiful but I feel like I wouldn't fit in. so any ideas would be appreciated. I am not sure of the type of job I will be able to get either. I would like to work as a school nurse but have no ideas on how to even apply.
