My husband has recieved a job offer for the Columbia area. We are currently living in Tampa and I won't have a lot of time to drive around looking for a house. We will have to do most of our research online and I have become a bit confused. Whenever I have found a home in the Tampa area (3 times) I have found a multitude of rentals on Zillow. However in Columbia I see a ton of rentals only on Craigslist and barely any on Zillow. Is this common? Are the other sites I should be searching for a house? We are looking for a 4 bedroom house with a fenced in yard. No more than $1400 a month. The closer to the center of the city the better. We need a safe neighborhood because we have two young children. I can't walk the street where I live now because cars go 45 mph+ so I would like somewhere we can walk the neighborhood.
I take it you are moving to Columbia from tampa florida ? I used to live in tampa and now live in Lexington outside of Columbia and I love it here way better than I did in tampa . I hope you like it here cost of living is better here than in tampa so you should not have any trouble finding a house here good luck and just keep looking . I have a real estate agent I can recommend if you will pm me and I will give you her info . thanks
