Firework laws (Columbus, Grove City: house, purchase, live in)

I know it's a little far off but I was just wondering what the firework laws are and what types of fireworks are and aren't aloud around the Columbus/Grove City area?

No explosive fireworks (including firecrackers) are permitted to be used by private consumers in Ohio. It's a statewide law. The only displays permitted must be done by professionals. There are minimal "fireworks" that you can use in Ohio, and purchase in retail stores, but they are basically things like sparklers, snakes, noisemakers, those plastic bottles with pull strings that spray confetti (not sure what they're called), and generally non-explosive type items. Any other fireworks bought within the state must be used OUTSIDE the state.

Every year I live in fear of my house burning down because of neighbors shooting off fireworks.Every year they get bigger. I live right across from Beulah Park which puts on a wonderful display. Neighbors invite tons of people to watch Beulah's fireworks, then they feel the need to shoot off there own. Every year they get bigger fireworks and more of them.Where are the police. Why aren't the police going around and telling them this is illegal.

Do you know what the fines are for this? I'd like to know what the incentive is, for the cops to actually show when I call to complain about loud explosions late at night, 3 hours before wake-up-2-go-2-work time. Thanks!
