We are moving to Columbus Ohio. My husband wiil have a job close to Easton Town Center and we are looking for preschool (2-3 mornings a week) for my 3 year old daughter. Can anybody recomend a good preschool? We also need to find an apartment before we will by a house.
Thank you.

We are sending our three year old son to Central College Preschool in Westerville this fall. We toured it and it looked like a good fit. It came highly recommended by numerous people we know and trust. We also had recommendations for the preschool at the New Albany JCC, the New Albany Montesorri School and Ready Set Grow but went with Central College because it fit our schedule (and our pocketbook) better.

My wife works in the Easton area and has about a 10 minute commute from New Albany. There are plenty of nice apartments in the area. If you may be renting for awhile, consider which school district the complex is in as many apartment complexes in "New Albany" are actually in Columbus with Columbus schools.

Congrats on your upcoming move. I hope you enjoy central Ohio as much as we are.

I have several friends that send their little ones to Central College preschool and OurDay Preschool (both in Westerville) and have had nothing but good things to say about their programs. Both of those programs are mornings only programs, with OurDay being the longer of the two. We send our daughter to a full day preschool two days a week at the Goddard School on Olde Worthington, which we love (and they do have half-day available as well).

We live in Westerville, near Maxtown and State, and when I commute to work at Easton it is about 20 minutes door to door (a bit slower right now as they are doing road construction near the I-270 and State St. interchange). Good luck on the move and finding the right preschool!

Central College does half day mornings but also half day afternoons (which is why we went with them as we'll have a kindergartner in half day afternoons). You can also extend morning sessions with a "Stay and Play" option until 3pm. Not sure if these are new options or not as our experience there has been only within the past month or so.
