In July I received a notice that I had 3 days to move out or I would be evicted due to not being able to pay rent. It is now April and I received a letter that I owe them $5660.50 and if I don't pay in 30 days it will go into my credit as a debt... Are they aloud to do this if my lease was basically terminated when I left??

Sort of, yes... From what I understand (and I am not an attorney) is that when you are evicted, they can charge you for the rent until the apartment was rented out to someone else. For example, if you were evicted June 15... Your lease was up October 1 but they found someone to rent it on August 1. They can bill you for the rent from June and July but cannot collect rent from when another tenant was there and paying. They can also require you to pay for any cleaning and/or repairs they had to make beyond normal wear and tear.

They also cannot purposely not rent the apartment in order to collect money from you. But I have a feeling it would be hard to prove that they didn't attempt to rent the property out.
