Which notebooks have the best battery life? I don't like Macs, so it would need to be a PC.
The one I have now, an HP Pavilion Entertainment has a 12 cell but only lasts about 30 min on battery. I think the house we lived in last year had really screwed up electricity and it ruined my battery, my husband's battery, his cell phone battery, my son's ipod battery, etc. RUINED.
Hp just came out with a laptop that supposedly lasts 24 hours. HP EliteBook 6930p is what the model is i believe. Dell also just came out with one that's supposed to last 19 hours. I don't know which model it is though.
They're pricey, but if it's worth it I hope this helps
Any claimed battery life is a best case scenario, don't expect to get what they claim. Many things affect it, screen brightness, power settings, what your doing...
Compare the prices for uninterruptible power supplies with batteries and buy some for your electronics. At least you can save your batteries next time...

Battery life tends to get shorter with each charge cycle. The computer I'm on right now had a practical (as opposed to "claimed") battery life of just under 4 hours when I first got it. A year and a half later, it's down to just over 2 hours.
