I'm in the market for a new laptop after my last one died. I have most of the Sims 3 games, expansions, and stuff packs, and will be getting the Sims 4 ones as they come out. I also have a DSLR and like to take lots of photos. I'm not a professional, but will still need storage space and the ability to run Photoshop effectively. An SD slot would be preferable. I'm guessing I don't really need a gaming laptop just for the Sims, but I know it starting running really slow and being a bit glitchy on my last laptop after I got a few expansions installed. (That was an HP Pavilion.) I'd like to avoid this with my new one, especially as I will be adding to my game over time with expansions. Budget: well as cheap as possible preferably, certainly not over $1000.

You got $1,000? That buys a lot today.

Sager Custom Laptops

Everything you need and more. You will love that and it will run Sims4 and probably 5 like a beast!

Get a laptop with a SSD for Sims 4. There is a loading screen in the Sims 4 when you switch areas and the SSD makes the loading time bearable. A hard drive on this game is frustratingly slow.

Yea, and that only adds $200 to the price of a laptop.
You don't need an SSD to save 30 seconds of load time.
