I posted here, I think, yesterday?
I asked about boot problems.
Well, I quit that pc and started this new pc which has OS 8.1.

My question is: My BH loves her hoyle card games which worked perfectly on our vista and windows 7 pc's.

I downloaded the same game (legal and paid for) on this pc but I can't get it to go full screen?

Even when you are on the game and click on full screen .. all it does is send you to the desktop with the same game screen?

BTW: I hate going from windows 7 to this 8.1 crapolla!

OS 8.1 would indicate you're running a very old Apple computer

The game may have issues with newer versions of Windows, have you tried getting support from Hoyl?

Why did you get 8.1 and not just get 10? As mentioned, that's an issue for the software developer to fix, if they can.

It was (8.1) already installed.

I am really trying to find my way around these new Operating systems.

I've gone from xp to vista to windows 7 and now 8.1!
I don't know if I'm ready for 10 yet!?

It's getting old.

I did check with hoyle and none of their suggestions worked.

10 will be much closer to 7 than 8.1 is.

8 is a joke unless the first "electronic" device you ever owned is a 2014 era smartphone.

I "bought" a new laptop with points and we tried and tried and tried to learn and use Windows 8. Never got the hang of it at all. After a month the laptop was donated to a charity for their use.

Some pieces of software are just not going to work - sorry to say - no matter what fixes and tweaks are supposedly out there. I found this happened when I upgraded from XP to 7. Perhaps you can find an upgrade of Hoyl card games designed for 8?

Thanks but I upgraded to 10 last night.

Game still wont run in full screen.

Funny thing is, one game out of the fifty or so games 'will' run full screen but none of the others will. 8(

I agree! Didn't like 8.1, much happier with 10!
