So my computer a few hours ago told me to to restart computer to repair the drive.
I did as told, but then realized it froze at 33% when it was repairing drive and I did a hard shut down.
After numerous attempts to boot the computer, I realized I was not going to be able to reboot unless I do a complete reset.

I was able to boot from Tails OS and recover all my files from my Hard Drive before I did a complete reset.
However one thing I realized after I did the reset was that "My Pictures" and "My Videos" was a sys file and the files in these folders were actually not transferred....This is a little upsetting since I took a lot of time in creating videos for my work as well as pictures of my passed grandfather and other memories in these folders.

Is there any possible way to recover these files even after doing a system reset?

Data is never lost until it's overwritten. Ideally do not start or run the computer, the reason for this is it may write data to the drive potentially overwriting what you want to recover. Take the drive out and connect it to another computer.

Try this program:

Often, a system reset will re-image the drive which could cause you to have a complete loss. The previous poster gave good advice and is your best initial shot at recovering anything that may have been lost.

However, be prepared to restore your data from your backups... even as painful of a process that sounds.
