Microsoft is asking me for something that I do not know how to handle. I was trying to fix my laptop, Gateway, Model MS 2291, Windows 10, because someone suggested that I should remove whatever I saw that was not there before.
So I went to my downloaded files and removed the file for alibtmon.exe, since I did not remember seeing it before. Now, I am receiving the following Runtime Error (Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library, Program:C:\WINDOWS\system32\alibtmon.exe
This is the information I received:
This application has requested to Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more info.
I googled it, and there was a question that someone had asked to Microsoft Support, that was close to my information, but not all of it. My questions, as a neonate computer user is:
HOW DO I CONTACT the application's support team for more information, and who is the APPLICATION'S SUPPORT team? Thanking you in advance,
1. Try to recover all files you have deleted
2. Didn't pay attention to these messages if your computer works
3. If your computer doesn't work well enough then call a specialist to reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library or some other program or Windows 10

4. "as a neonate computer user" stop screwing with things you don't understand, stop deleting files when you don't know what they do, and stop listening to 'advice' from idiots who don't know jack about computers.

BTW, alibtmon.exe is an executable that is for adjusting screen brightness from the control panel.

Most likely, the easiest thing for *you* to do, would be to reinstall your video drivers, instead of hunting around for deleted files and trying to put them back where they are supposed to be. The video driver install should put everything where it's supposed to go, including any runtime library files.
After being on this computer trying every avenue opened to me from all this wonderful people that tried to help me, I cam across by sheer coincidence to this article that I am placing here, to help others that maybe someday, in the same position that I was.
