Hi -
I was wondering if someone can give me some insight on possibly doing a work commute from NJ (North Bergen county like Norwood or Bergenfiled)/ NY (Nyack/Tarrytown/White Plains) to Norwalk, CT. I would be taking the Tappanzee bridge if I was going to move to NJ. I think if I leave before 7am the commute time should be a little bit under one hour, but I'm unaware of what the commute times are during the afterwork commute? Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!

If it helps, I commute from Norwalk to Pearl River and it takes about an hour. I know it is the opposite commute, but I assume that it would take about the same amount of time.

Hope this helps.

You would be commuting with the traffic going into White Plains and then into Stamford. I know rush hour is bad on the bridge. Not sure how bad during off hours. you might post this on the New York boards and see what people there say. Jay

I had a coworker who commuted from Ramsey to Westport. As long as he hit the Tap by 7, it took him just over an hour.

I use to do the opposite commute but from Fairfield to Ramsey. Traffic was bad going the other way. That was many years ago and traffic has only gotten worse. Jay
