It looks like there's a Krispy Kreme in Milford. The closest Chick-fil-A's are in Jersey. It looks like the closest one is in Paramus (although the site claims there's one on the NYU campus). I'm partial to Dunkin' Donuts anyways

Krispy Kreme popped up all around the state, the first one opening in Berlin which drew a huge crowd daily. A few years later they were all shutting down, including the first halo store in Berlin. Many of their donuts are sold in Stop & Shop in the boxes already....I never personally saw the appeal..its was like eating sugar that just disolved in your mouth.

I know there were a few in Massachusetts too, and they shut down when Krispy Kreme started having financial problems. Now when you head to their website there aren't any locations left in Massachusetts, and I believe it stated the only remaining location in Connecticut was in Milford.

Bummer - okay - other Southern craving - boiled peanuts - no - not the nasty ones in the can - are there any farms that sell the green peanuts that can be prepared at home?

I WISH Chick-fil-A was here in CT. I live in Stamford and CRAVE that restaurant a lot. I am originally from TN and lived in Atlanta for a while also. Man, don't they have delicious sandwiches and waffle fries! So fresh. They should come to the north. Actually, I do think they have 1 or 2 restaurants in the city (NYC). I need to check out their website.

I don't think we have boiled peanuts here. I don't miss Krispy Kreme. I also don't miss Chick-Fil-A, except for their waffle fries!
