use this site. There's nothing for a state piggy now, but it's constantly updated.

They're definitely putting a class through in the next 6 months. I'm just not sure if they're going to use a previous eligibility list or are going to test again for it. The state is in a fiscal mess right now, but there's no doubt the CSP are understaffed. The opportunities for overtime has current CSP officers raking it in.

Asked a friend. This is what he said. The exam will be announced sometime in May 2012.

Go to Google and find the State of Connecticut Dept. of Administrative services website. On the start up page,In the website, on the left hand side , find the state employment exams section.

Click on " Law Enforcement exams." It will bring you to a page where you can sign up for an email alert that will let you know immediately when the exam is offered.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get a concrete answer as to whether there is any hope of getting into a trainee class from this new exam or if they will be using older exam lists or both.

This is good info. Do you happen to know if you have to posses a C.H.I.P certificate first to take the exam?
