Hi all- newbie here, though I've been lurking for a while...

We are looking to make the move from Brooklyn Heights to Westport. Husband will commute to Grand Central (and works in midtown, easy walk) and I work virtually from a home office. 2 elementary school aged kids.

I have been learning all I can about the parking situation at the various train stations (day rates, permits, shuttles, etc) and am thinking of different ways to skin the cat. If house location is not too far away, do people bike to the train station? And now the same questions as for parking:
1)Are there bike spots at Westport station, Green's Farms, and Southport?
2)What do they cost?
3)How early do they fill up?

Thanks for any info! This board is really really helpful!
(I'm sure I'll have more questions soon!!)

Sorry that no one has answered this but I think there are bike racks at some of the stations. I seem to remember seeing them at Greens Farms but don't quote me on that. If there are rakes though, they would be free to use. Jay

For what it is worth Google shows bike racks at Greens Farms. I would think Westport has them too. Noyt sure about Southport. Jay

Thanks Jay! We were up there yesterday and saw a bike rack at Green's Farms. Now I only wonder if lots of people use them or not. We'll figure it out eventually, I suppose.

For rainy/snowy days, can anyone tell me how early the day parking at Green's Farms fills up?
