So, I'm flipping through my cable channels and come across the section that use to be Starz and there is nothing there. Apparently they are in a contract dispute with Altice. Funny that my cable bill still increased significantly.

Are you paying for Stars? I would all and ask for a credit if so. Jay

Do what I did and unplug. Working on cable as a whole but for things like HBO, Starz, etc. you can download their app so instead of HBO you have HBO GO where you can watch on your mobile device, tablet, or stream to your TV. It's also usually cheaper for the direct service than buying through cable and you won't have to worry about stupid disputes.

Also looking at the new Direct TV where you "pick your channels" and pay a substantially reduced price instead of 220 channels to get the 3 you want. That coupled with a Chromecast, Firestick, and a terrarium download can give you anything you need. As soon as my contract is up with Comcast I'm dropping cable and phone and shopping internet as it's all I will need. FYI the new Direct TV option runs through internet and not a cable box.

I was thinking about getting rid of the cable and just using Amazon. They also offer HBO and I'm guessing Starz. I can't do Direct TV and wouldn't if I could because I hate contracts. I'll definitely look into purchasing direct.

DirectTV Now is a no contract service, you sign up and are auto-billed monthly until you cancel. No 1-2 year signups to deal with. My brother has had it for a few months and loves it, plus with my firestick you can set it up to watch live sports.

They’re giving customers The Movie Channel (390-396) for “free” for 12 months. You should be able to access them.
