Is Norwalk pre-K all day or half day? Is it based on a lottery system or can your child attend if this is the school they are zoned for?

As far as I know, from when my kids went to school, Kindergarten is full day but Pre-K is not part of the public school system. So you would have to find a preschool program (and there are several) on your own--no lottery system involved. The preschool my kids went to had both half day and full day options. If I remember correctly they took 3 and 4 year olds who were potty trained.

Most town websites that say they have "public pre-K" is only because they have a program for special needs kids or kids who need much extra help with school. So they will only accept your kids if that applies.
So i'd start looking for a private one.
