Hey guys,

I am new to CT and am looking at completely leaving BOA. I want to join a Credit Union for my savings account and car loan because i had one in NC when I lived there and loved it.

Everyone raves about Credit Unions. What is a really good credit union that you would reccomend for CT? (Or even West MA As I live right adjacent to the border of there). I tried CSECU and I have to be a state employee, so i cant use that one.

Thanks in advance

Don't think there's any locations near you, but I like Mutual Security.

Same. MSCU is far better than Sikorsky CU. If any locations are near the OP, I highly recommend them.

American Eagle is amazing! They may have an Enfield branch? I’ve been with them for 10 years.

I left BOA this year and split my accounts between capital one online and Nutmeg State FCU which I used for an auto loan. They also have DMV express in some of their locations which I've used for the past few years.

*edit- I see they don't really have northern CT locations so probably not useful.

I belong to 360FCU. They have an office in Windsor Locks. They were mostly for UTC employees but I believe they are open to the general public now.

Another vote for American Eagle. I have been with them for about 15 years and think they are great.
