We've decided on the "full catastrophe" wedding, which means about 70 people, non-denominational ceremony, dinner, and dancing (to a DJ, not a band) in very early September (Labor Day weekend). I don't know the area that well yet and would hugely appreciate any suggestions, preferably with indoor and outdoor options. Please have fun with this - no suggestion is too "out of the box!"

Gulf Beach in Milford would be a nice spot:

Shown in winter, but you get the idea.

The Penfield Pavillion on the beach in Fairfield. I am not sure if it is big enongh but the Burr Mansion on Old Post Road is nice too. The Scandanavian Club in Fairfield is nice but modest. The Longshore Country club in Westport is beautiful. Not sure if it is open but the Cobbs Mill Inn in Weston is also beautiful. Jay

Longshore is nice, we've had company parties there, but I think it's very expensive.

There's also the Spinning Wheel Inn (it might be called something else now) in Redding. I've been to a nice wedding there, but it was a while ago.

Also the Milford Yacht Club holds weddings and is in a really pristine spot on the sound with great views.

we got married at Penfield Pavilion at the beach in Fairfield. It was plenty big for us, i think we invited around 150 people.

Good point for golf clubs. Country Club of Fairfield is gorgeous near Southport, but probably $$$. The aforementioned Longshore. I know Great River in Milford does weddings too, and that's a beautiful place.
