Hi all,
Just moved to a new house (actually, house built in 1915) and need to create a basic home theater setup for the basement. I have nothing other than WIFI and coaxial outlet....so need some advice on quality products to outfit the basement for a basic home theater setup. 5.1? 7.1? 7.2? etc!

Budget: $1k-1.5k!

Anyone got any recommendations and can point in me in the right direction ? Would prefer floorstand speakers for the front two.

Thanks! I am an extreme newbie!

The speakers I bought are no longer stocked by newegg so I'm not sure.. I suggest posting this question in the AVS Forums under the appropriate section for advice.

I bought a set from SAMs at under $500, works great. Receiver, center channel, side speakers and rear speakers. You really don't have to spend mucho bucks for good sound now.
