My sister has been using a Vizio SB362An-F6 sound bar with thumb drives into the USB port. It works well.
They are 512 mb drives loaded with mp3's encoded at 192. They are formatted FAT32.
I would like to know what would be the largest capacity flash drive that can be used as input to this speaker, and is there a maximum number of files it can address. Can the files be managed in folders or does all have to be in the root directory? The goal is to combine several of these small drives on to one larger one. Thanks.
If the manual doesn't tell you, there's probably no max size limit.
If there's no interface to browse folders then yes, everything needs to be in the root.
Why not put all the music on your phone and use bluetooth?
And above all: stop using 192 encoding. Yuck. The space saving is not worth the loss in fidelity.
