Since I don't live in the area yet, I'm not sure about Crossville, but I can tell you that Cookeville has a large number of both locally owned and chain restaurants. You will have a much larger selection in Cookeville.

Sister's Cafe.... Main Street Crossville 127... Across the street from the Ford Dealership ugly grey building with " SISTERS " hand written in red on the windows... Great comfort food....... Urban 1950-1960 ... but good food.

And check out the restaurant at Cumberland Mountain State Park South on 127 about 3 miles from the hospital Cumberland Mountain State Park....As you cross the stone bridge the restaurant is on your left... Lunch ~ Dinner Both casual attire & suite and jacket. It over looks the small lake with swans & ducks on it.......they have a daily menu posted on their front door before they open for lunch 11:00am...

Gondolas is my personal favorite, but the Vegas Steak house is good too, though a little pricier. Vegas has a great bar too, and they also feature an area outside where you can eat, drink and smoke, that is if you're a smoker. It may sound weird, but you also have to have a sandwich from Pitstop Pizza. I know there's one on Lantana, near Tansi, but I know there used to be one close to FFG, and if it's still there, they deliver to FFG. The philly cheese-steak and the chicken club are awesome.

... Also for Mexican, go to Las Margaritas, and for Chinese, go to China One on West Ave.

Also, I'm usually up late, so I know which restaurants are 24-7 in Crossville. - Waffle House (or Huddle House - they're next to each other, and I get them confused), Dairy Queen on Genesis, Wendy's on Genesis, McDonalds on North Main, and the BeanPot on Peavine.

They are opening a restaraunt in Algood called Sisters. I wonder if it is the same people?

Where in Algood are they opening Sisters? Algood/Northeast Cookeville could use something other than fast food joints.
