Has anyone done this Western Caribbean itinerary on the Carnival Glory to Belize, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Mahogany Bay? How was the Glory and the ports? i was suppose to do the Cozumel/Yucatan/Progreso cruise but I'm not doing so this year. I'm looking into this cruise for next year instead.

done a similar itinerary that included Ocho Rios. It was not on Carnival. I have to say, I am not a lover of Jamaica period. I didn't cruise the Glory but have toured it when she was rather new. Again, not a fan; very gaudy and over done. However, I realize you didn't ask us about the ship and everyone has his own idea about what makes a ship special.

Are you cruising for the destinations or are you looking to judge the ship's decor? The Glory is fine if you know how to have fun with family and friends. There are daily activities and the food is standard across all Carnival ships for the most part.

I'm cruising for the destinations but it wouldn't hurt to have a decent ship. My first cruise was on the Carnival Elation and it wasn't terrible but not great. There was a whole side that was super smelly though. The food was mediocre at best but I enjoyed the experience!

Check out Cruise Critic for a lot more cruise information/reviews than what you'll find here.

I did this itinerary on the Carnival Legend out of Tampa maybe 4 years ago. I liked the ports, but due to cruising out of Tampa in Feb. the ship was pretty boring, lots of seniors on board and nothing going on later in the evening.

Cozmel is nice. People are great! I have been to Jamaica 3 times, but to Ocho Rios. It is also very nice. I recommend the Dunn River Falls tour if you can do it. Grand Cayman is the best out of all of them. Just amazingly beautiful! I have never been to Belize.

I have been on a lot of cruises and I personally would not cruise on Carnival unless you are younger than 30. It's definitely a younger, party type crowd. If you like that, then you're good as they are still a nice cruise line. Royal Caribbean is definitely a step up in regards to their ships and service! More family oriented, but a good mix of younger and older people. They also have more amenities in my opinion than Carnival.

I'm 32 and I cruised Carnival in January and didn't have any party type problems. I am doing Carnival again for this itinerary because it works with budget as a solo women. I'll have to try Royal some other time.

Consider NCL. They have an entire section for singles on some of their ships.
