Luise Rainer, Born January 12, 1910
Actress, The Great Ziegfeld
Luise Rainer, the first thespian to win back-to-back Oscars, was born on January 12, 1910 in Dusseldorf, Germany, into a prosperous Jewish family. Her parents were Emilie (Königsberger) and Heinrich Rainer, a businessman. She took to the stage, and plied her craft on the boards in Germany.
I personally wouldn't count this as a well known celebrity, I've never heard of her.
Typically, the "rule of three" (which I don't really think is anything more than coincidence, to be honest) is sort of an all-at-once sort of thing. Like when Michael Jackson, Ed McMahon, and Farrah Fawcett all died within a couple days of each other. People are still talking about the first and second when the third occurs. Sad to say, but true that most people aren't talking about James Garner anymore.
Billy Mays died at the same time too so there is not really a 'rule of three'. South Park even dedicated an episode to the dying celebrities phenomena called 'Dead Celebrities'.
If you look hard enough when any celebrity dies you can find many others that died around the same time. Celebrities die every day. Whether or not they are major celebrities is another story.
