"People ask me, 'Why you?' I come back and I say, 'Why not? Why just me? Where's everyone else at?" said Brett, who requested that ABC News not use his last name to protect his family back home.
"Jesus says, you know, 'What you do unto the least of them, you do unto me,'" he added. "I take that very seriously."

got to hand it to "Brett" at least he's putting his azz on the line, unlike many of the keyboard warriors back here in the states.

I must have missed the part in the Bible where Jesus said to kill people in his name.

Wow, that's a twist. This brave young man is protecting the lives of Syrian Christians. His goal is not to kill anyone in the name of Jesus. Defending the lives and dignity of others is exactly what Jesus preached and practiced.

Good for him. I think that's what it's going to take to defeat these terrorists, Christians, Jews, Muslims to volunteer to go fight them.

Americans that fight abroad doing something like this should be arrested.

What he is doing does not appear to be in violation of American law. So long as he does not join in a group identified under law as a terrorist organization, and so long as he refrains from committing what under law are defined as war crimes, he should not be in violation of U.S. law.

Some details on these legalities can be found in this article:
How countries are keeping their citizens from fighting in Syria | Foreign Policy

Do you generally support the arrest of people who have committed no crime?

Note that I'm not taking any position on this guy's actions. But wise or unwise, as Ghengis observed - at least he's no keyboard commando.
