Police: Hunters Shot Each Other Near The Border, Then Blamed Immigrants
Does anyone know? Can a person get their donated money back if the reason for the fund turns out to be false?
Caveat Emptor
Frankly, I don't feel too sorry for those suckered in by a "We wuz ambushed by bad hombres!" shtick. People should have more of a clue. But I'm not surprised. No, I'm not surprised at all.

When confronted about previous inaccurate Facebook messages, Miller said his social media posts shouldn’t be held to the same standard as those of a news organization ― but then cited a news organization in defense of himself.
“It’s like Fox News,” Miller told KUT radio. “I report and you decide if it’s true or not.”
'My posts may be nonsense, but that's okay 'cause so is Fox News.'
And the people of Texas actually elected this guy?

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of GoFundMe stories and accounts are total fabrications, regardless of political and social affiliations. GFM has made conning people even more simple.
With as many hoaxes out there that have come unraveled over the years, anyone rushing to donate money should just chalk it up to a learning experience.
I tend to ignore GoFundMe and those other crowdfunding posts that I see on Facebook and elsewhere. If I have a friend going through a hard time, I can be there for them in other ways than giving them my money.
I say this in every GFM thread here but here goes again. The people that donate to GoFundMe are the real dummies in all of this. I only donate to people I know personally and I give the money in person. Why donate through GFM where you give GFM $2 and your friend $18 when you can drop off a $20 to your friend?
