Yes, it is a shame American citizens have to resort to protest to get justice and a system that works for the people instead of only working for their own fellow cops. I think this is just a tad more important then shopping.
The fact that you're 'concerned' enough about a non-violent protest in Chicago to start a thread complaining about it, yet you can be bothered to post any complaints about Chicago PD murdering a man in cold blood, then covering it up for the better part of a year before being forced by the judiciary to release the evidence revealing the murder and the cover-up.
Yeah, you're really 'concerned' about the important things...
Glad to finally see these protesters not burning down their own neighborhoods and going after a target that will really get their demands heard. The city will have such a backlash from the business owners who will cry foul and the city will be forced to make sweeping changes as well as address the masses of BLM and general citizens.
Now if these BLM people can just focus more on these types of prime targets I think their protests will be much more powerful and be taken much more seriously.
I also agree this is a much more important issue than any shopping deal or discount, its time for the people to finally stand up in unison to hold officials at all level accountable.

They're interfering with businesses and people who had absolutely no stake in the matter.
Protest about Police brutality against the citizens---So, what's the problem?
What they should be protesting is "Black on Black" violence.
They recently made an arrest in the cold-blooded murder of that 9 yr old black kid. According to the Major Media, the kid was SHOT DOWN as Revenge against a Member of some gang. (more black on black violence).
Black lives matter???---Tell that to the Black Race!

EVERYONE in Chicago has stakes in this matter! It's OUR tax dollars paying the wages of these same cops that are participating in the coverup of a murder. The city and everyone living in it should be angry that, in the midst of a budget crisis mostly brought on by underfunded pensions, there are cops are out here stooping to the levels of common criminals.

No one is saying the cop was right, but what does some random store throughout the city have anything to do with this case? Why should their business be hurt over this?
I heard a protester being interviewed this morning on the radio (assume it was taped and replayed) and he said referring to the cop who shot the knife wielding kid 16 times, and has now been charged with 1st degree murder, "We will keep protesting as long as they [cops] can kill our kids and not have any consequences!"
WTF? First degree murder charges now constitute no consequences? Where do they find these morons?
