A city councilwoman quit her job on Thursday over the word "Christmas"—then made an apparent deal to return to work, the Star-Ledger reports. Charlene Storey, a councilwoman in Roselle Park, NJ, resigned after council voted 4-2 to change the name of its tree-lighting ceremony from "A Tree Lighting" to "A Christmas Tree Lighting."

The only thing I am sorry about is that she decided to return to her post. I just hope that she will be voted out of office if and when she decides to run for office again.

He was not born on Cristmas. It was an old pagan holiday that Constantine appropriated for Christianity - he was a very shrewd (and not religious) politician and realized that most Romans were used to celebrating Dec 25 but didn't really care what it was called, so instead of trying to force a different holiday on them, which would inevitably lead to friction, he just changed the name and the stated reason for an old and familiar one.

So this elected official was so offended by calling a Christmas tree lightening ceremony, a um Christmas tree lighting ceremony she quit over it? I saw that nonsense on the news. She stated we "have to be all inclusive". We do? Why? Hopefully the people who live in her district will not re-elect her.

This political correctness garbage is getting insane.
