These days, we're too disconnected from our food supply. These green beans were packed fresh. Things happen. Toss it out, or take it back for a refund. Be done with it. Yes, you have a right to be grossed out. No, you shouldn't get anything more than a couple of cans of green beans as compensation. Move on. Nothing to see here.

I frequently find real small pebbles inside the one lb. bags of dried kidney beans. They might be small but bite down on one and it's dentist time. No doubt in my mind that they were put there by the packers. Some folks get their jollies that way, even though they don't get to see and enjoy the damage their actions can cause. Really have to scrutinize the contents before cooking.

This is not unusual, which is why you need to wash and go through your beans. My mother always does this with her lentils.
