Another stupid parent. This guy should be charged with murder.

Two 16-month-old twins have died after their father allegedly left them alone in a hot car in Georgia.

The father, 24-year-old Asa North, was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct on Friday, according to authorities.

After the children were pulled from the car, North attempted to revive his daughters by putting them in a filled inflatable pool behind their apartment, witnesses told police.

Dear lord. My first thought was how tragic but reading the story...he was drinking all day? He got drunk and forgot about them. He needs to face some MAJOR charges...like if he was drunk driving and killed 2 kids. What on earth? And I bet being drunk made him not want to call 911 right away. I wonder if they had gotten there sooner, instead of taking time to fill a pool with water and ice if they would have survived. The babies died *at* the hospital.

Good Lord; just when you think it can't get any worse.

Actually him driving drunk and getting into a crash, and the babies dying would have been a more merciful death than what this SOB put them through.

It would be tragic either way, but to die this way, it doesn't get much worse.

He needs to be in jail and his new friends will hopefully take care of him.

poor babies indeed....I feel sorry for the father too though. I doubt it was intentional, and I also doubt him drinking had anything to do with it...just as it had nothing to do with numerous other similar TRAGIC MISTAKES that many many others have made.
Like the priest, and the teacher, and the police officer etc etc etc
The only thing that could possibly come from these horrendous deaths is that (hopefully) people will MAKE SURE no child (or animal for that matter) is EVER left in the car, for ANY reason.
Sounds like the guy was hysterical, and I'm sure he's very distraught over the death of his twins. That (in my opinion) is punishment enough...and something he will live with, and anguish over, to his dying day.

Really? Seriously? You think its safe to "drink all day" while in charge of toddler twins? Do you do that? If you have toddlers, you usually don't drink when they are up and around because it isn't safe. Its easy enough to make a mistake sober...you don't need to be drunk and forgetting things (a hallmark or alcohol intoxication).

#1. Don't kid yourself, it had everything to do with it. Alcohol impairs judgment, physical ability,
and memory. To think his drinking didn't play a part in this tragedy is wishful thinking at best, and
dangerous denial at worst. I consumed alcohol for many years, and I know what I'm talking about.

#2. Nice thought. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working. The fact that this keeps happening year
after year says otherwise.
