My thoughts are with him and his family.

Former President Carter to open up about cancer diagnosis

Quote:
Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter will discuss his cancer diagnosis on Thursday, a week after he revealed that recent liver surgery found the disease had spread to other parts of his body.

Carter, 90, is expected to disclose details about his condition at a news conference at 10 a.m. EST (1400 GMT) at the non-profit center bearing his name in Atlanta.

That man has been so unfairly maligned simply because he is a man of peace and a crusader for justice. His legacy will outlive us all. Btw, his family has a long history of cancer, so 90 is actually beating the odds.

Jimmy Carter was the last American president who actually cared for the common person. I feel bad for him for having to go through this. I hope he has a quick recovery.

He is not going to recover. But I wish him a quick and painfree exit.

Carter successfully portrayed himself as thoughtful and caring. If you do any research, read any books by those who worked for him, or inquired of those in the Secret Service or White House staff you will discover underneath his smiling peanut farmer mystique was a nasty, deceitful, and mean spirited man.

I have always said he was a good man and probably the most honest politician of our time. Those traits made him a wonderful spokesman for Habitat for Humanity and a crappy president. Let's face it, our best president all had a bit of sociopathic traits, leaders of countries have to be capable of making the decision to destroy other people. I couldn't, and I doubt I am alone.
