What a lack of respect! Even if the employees hate the police, why not consider the fact that families with children eat in there! Hopefully these offensive employees will be fired.

Wrong? Yes. Outrageous? No. Fireable offense? Manager's discretion but as a supervisor it wouldn't be an easy decision. If this was just a bunch of teenagers doing something teenagers do, I'd disclipline them but not fire them.

I doubt it'll be left up to the manager on whether he fires them seeing as he was one of the ones involved according to the article.

I saw where it says they put the manager on leave but that doesnt necessarily mean he/she was involved. Just that it happened on their watch. Or is it mentioned more implicitly elsewhere?

If the manager was there and did not stop it then that manager is at fault.

As long as the manager wasn't deaf, I'd say he'd have noticed that a vulgar song was being played over and over.

I think it was wrong for the workers to play disrespectful music like they did. Should they be fired...well, probably. They are not only not doing their jobs, but they're sort going against their responsibilities in the job.

BUT, if I were a policeman -- after all the similar events we've heard about -- I'd start asking why do so many Americans (clearly not the majority) dislike us so much.

In a heartbeat I'd fire every one of them for disrespecting my customers, cops or not. There are things in this life you just don't do. This is one of them.

To ponder and support another outcome, simply because some Americans don't like the police, is outrageous. Not in MY restaurant. You're fired!

Something will probably be done......

Lets see how those employees act if they (GOD FORBID) ever get robbed and those same police come and help them!!
