Am on the road at the present time with a friend who happens to have XM radio in the car. Was listening to one of the news stations and they are reporting a massive power outage in San Francisco. I didn't see a thread started here or on the San Francisco sub forum regarding this.

What's going on in the Frisco area on this? Besides, heh, massive panic?

Hadn't heard. Apparently most power is restored by now. Reportedly the outage was caused by a fire at a utility sub-station. Thanks for posting!

That can get scary,,,,,,,, real scary in "large" cities like that. According to the link Toosie posted it was due to a $100 million upgrade that was taking place. All of this countries large cities have need for infrastructure upgrading on some sort whether water lines, gas, electric or highway systems. The government and corporations have overlooked doing anything to improve them over the years. {crazy}

Not possible. San Francisco is home of liberal elites, and solar power undoubtedly keeps the whole place running.

Just a taste of things to come. I don't think anyone panicked. Too stoned.
