All this "pleading the 5th" isn't going to help Sini regain custody of her daughter. It might help her avoid felony criminal charges, which is a different thing. If she ever wants to have custody - or even visitation - with her daughter, she needs to answer investigative questions about her role in the death of a her adopted child in her home.

A much-awaited autopsy in the case of 3-year-old Sherin Matthews reveals that the Richardson child died of “homicidal violence,” according to officials at the Dallas County medical examiner’s office.
Details of the autopsy and toxicology reports are expected to be released Wednesday.
Sini's attorney is defending her but she was living in that home, she likely had something to do with the murder of Sherin. At the very least, she helped cover it up, which is a crime.
