Did anyone else see anything about this?

We were up at 2am this morning and there was a streak, like a plane leaves (but it wasn't), across the whole sky. The only thing I could find was this:

But I can't tell if that is from today.

DH said it was higher than planes fly, and he is ex flight crew so he knows his visuals.

It was weird.

It's something entering the atmosphere and burning up. Either a rock that's been circling the Sun for 4.6 billion years or a piece of junk left up there by one of us.

Could have been a "fireball" type of meteor. They are brighter larger meteors that leave more of a trail as they go over. The trail is made up of smoke, sparks or flame as bits of it break apart in the atmosphere. Once you've been lucky enough to see one you won't forget it! Pretty amazing.

Just for fun, you might enjoy this website. It's a UFO reporting website. I find it kind of fascinating.

All meteors are, by definition, fireballs. The word 'meteor' means the visible phase of a meteoroid passing through the upper atmosphere and heated through friction with air until it is glowing hot.
